Project Orion update: 04.17.2026

  Hello guys, I have been doing a lot of design work with the game project so my posts about it have been fewer for awhile. A lot of the work has been between 3d Studio Max & Unreal Engine 5. Story composition and editing. I have a bunch of new sample images and vids to share. I hope you enjoy the style and theme of the look as it gradually becomes more complex. The level design is in block-out phase but it carries the style aesthetic theme to some degree.

  The visual vibe has an anime synth/cyber sci-fi look with vast and interesting environments. All of what has been shown is confined to the first game area zone. All of the different locations will be expansive and unique. I want to carry into the experience a sense of vastness.

We partnered with an extremely talented 3d character creator and animator "Focree" who helped bring the ideal vision of Orion to life for our game project. I’ve recently finished a freelance project called “Orion” and I’d like to share it with you.

The client approached me with a request to create a stylized character and provided a large set of written materials and references. The idea immediately inspired me — I could already picture the final result in my mind, and I quickly got to work.

The project was built around a standard character development pipeline. The task was to create a game-ready character for Unreal Engine 5, make it modular, and implement customizable shaders. I completed the sculpting, prepared the retopology and UVs, and baked the textures. After that, the only step left was integrating everything into the engine.

While working in UE5, I realized how enjoyable it is to use, so I decided to create the final renders directly in it. I’m very happy with the result and I’m excited to share it with you.

 Wicked Horizon Designs updated logo:

The composite project for our updated logo was made using frames rendered at 30fps for 30 seconds in 3D Studio Max for the spinning element. The lower part that includes the text font and H.U.D screen was created in After Effects & Premiere Pro. The 3 elements are the lower effect, the text and the spinning logo. Post Production final steps were done in After Effects. Thank you to our teammate Galen C for helping to create our updated sci-fi logo.
